270.Is Fish Healthy or Toxic? The Truth About Mercury, Omega-3s, and Inflammation
Welcome to another powerful episode of the Whole Body Detox Show with David DeHaas from Living Waters Wellness Center. In this episode, David tackles a highly debated topic: Is fish really healthy—or could it actually be harming you?
Drawing from decades of nutritional advice and the latest insights, this episode breaks down the truth about fish, fats, and overall health. From the shift in dietary guidelines since the 1970s to today’s evolving recommendations, David explores how low-fat messaging may have contributed to rising inflammation, chronic disease, and obesity.
Here’s what you’ll learn in this episode:
- The difference between wild-caught vs. farm-raised fish and why it matters
- The risks of mercury toxicity and which fish to avoid
- How fish can be a powerful source of vitamin D, B12, iodine, selenium, and omega-3 fatty acids
- Why iodine deficiency may be more common than you think—and how it affects hormones and glandular health
- The impact of seed oils and omega-6 fats on inflammation and chronic disease
- How gut health, detoxification, and proper nutrition play a critical role in overall wellness
David also connects the dots between toxicity, inflammation, and disease, emphasizing the importance of cleansing the body—starting with the gut—to support natural healing. From colon hydrotherapy to lifestyle habits like sun exposure and movement, this episode provides a holistic roadmap to better health.
Whether you're trying to make smarter food choices, improve your energy, or reduce inflammation, this episode gives you the tools to decide: Is fish good for you—or not?

David DeHaas (0:25): Living Waters Wellness Center was formed after we discovered how to heal my body from multiple symptoms, including allergies, asthma, chronic fatigue, back pain, psoriasis, acne, hives, yeast infections, and finally cancer. And I did it all naturally. After twenty years of trying numerous different treatments, medical treatments, cleanses, iridology, muscle therapy, acupuncture, acupressure, homeopathy, naturopathy, Those experiences led us to discover that recipe that led to become known as the four natural laws of healing. Combining multiple natural healing modalities to fully detox and cleanse the body and allowing the body to take the perfect nutrition to fully restore the body back to its innate health. This became known as a ten day healing retreat.
David DeHaas (1:02): We've helped thousands of people just like you get their health restored so they can live their life to the fullest. And if you want to learn how you can get your body back to living your best life, go to livingwaterscleansed.com. Click on that link for natural laws of healing and watch the video or call the office at (208) 378-9911. Where's the beef or is it where's the fish? What's the healthiest for you?
David DeHaas (1:27): Is fish good for you or is it not good for you? On today's episode of the Whole detox show, I'm gonna talk about a story where fish is definitely not good for you, but also about fish that is really good for you. So which is it gonna be? You make the decision after you hear the episode. Hi.
David DeHaas (1:44): I'm David DeHaas. Welcome to today's show, the Whole Body Talk Show, episode 270. Wow. Can't believe it. Six years of producing episodes each week.
David DeHaas (1:54): And if you're listening to the show and you've enjoyed them, I would love it if you give us a review. You're here in Boise on Key Ideal Talk Radio, just go over to the Googles, type in Living Waters Wellness Center. It'll pop up, and there's a place to hit a review and just say, hey. I've been listening to the Hope Body Talk show for however long, and the number one thing I learned was blankety blank. If you're on the podcast, well, it's right there.
David DeHaas (2:15): Just give us a review. So this comes out of doctor David Brownstein's report, which, by the way, I encourage you to get a subscription to the report because there's so much wonderful information in it each week. So over the years, I'm 68 years old, we've been told that meat's bad for us, and we've been told we need to eat more plants in some cases. Well, we're now finding out that that's not true. But what about fish?
David DeHaas (2:42): Is there good fish? Is there bad fish? Back in the 1970s, the Surgeon General and nearly all the doctors spread the word that saturated animal fats clog our arteries, leading to heart disease and strokes. Fish, on the other hand, is healthy because it's high in unsaturated omega-three fatty acids. But more than fifty years ago, we were told to lower fat, and we did.
David DeHaas (3:06): And of course, it caused a lot of problems. The percentage of calories from saturated fat decreased over the years. Animal fats from butter lard, red meat, and other sources all declined. At the same time, we began eating more polyunsaturated vegetable oil. But what was the result?
David DeHaas (3:22): Well, we became sicker, Became inflamed. Heart disease is still number one killer in the country. We have more chronic disease than ever before. We become heavier. Basically, we become super inflamed.
David DeHaas (3:35): We'll explain more later on the show. In the late nineteen seventies, national health authorities began promoting the message of eat more fish for a healthy heart. In '77, the United States Senate Select Committee on Nutrition and Human Needs issued a so called McGovern report. The first federal document recommended increased fish consumption and decreased saturated fat intake. The report encouraged Americans to choose fish that will reduce saturated fat intake.
David DeHaas (3:59): In 1980, the first dietary guidelines for Americans were released. Fish was recommended as a part of the lower saturated fat diet that included poultry and lean meats. And from that point forward, guidelines released every time were recommending consuming fish in place of saturated fats. But in 2026, what just happened? Well, US health and human services secretary Robert Kennedy released the twenty twenty five to twenty thirty dietary guidelines for American.
David DeHaas (4:23): A new food pyramid was also released showing meats, vegetables, whole milk, and fish at the top of an inverted version of the old food pyramid. We're now told consume a variety of protein foods from animal sources, including eggs, poultry, seafood, and red meat, as well as a variety of plant sourced protein foods, including beans, peas, lentils, legumes, nuts, seeds, and soy. I disagree with the soy unless it's been fermented, and then you could eat it. But other than that, especially if you're eating nonorganic, stay the heck away from soy. As far as organic nonagregs, they have anything nonorganic, of course.
David DeHaas (4:58): But fish is a good source of vitamin D. In fact, it's one of the few natural food sources for vitamin D deficiency, which, of course, is very common. And that's kind of sad because, quite frankly, vitamin D is very inexpensive to get. But if we don't get it, it can lead to problems in the immune system, the bones, and the cardiovascular system. One of the primary functions of vitamin D is to ensure that enough calcium gets absorbed from the gut.
David DeHaas (5:26): Lack of calcium absorption has widespread negative effects, including development of osteoporosis. Well, I think it goes a little deeper than that, quite frankly, I've explained many times in this show. Talk about that in a minute. Most people think vitamin D is an essential nutrient. Well, it's really not.
David DeHaas (5:42): It can be produced in the human body by a reaction with the sun's ultraviolet rays, driving a biochemical process that produces the vitamin from cholesterol circulating the body. Specifically, seven dehydrocolotrol, an intermediate compound in the pathway to synthesize cholesterol, accumulates in the outer layer of the skin. This is known as provitamin D three because UV rays convert seven the hydrocholesterol, into vitamin d three. Both UV sunlight, short of getting a sunburn, and dietary cholesterol are healthy ways to get vitamin d three. So you know what David and Wendy do?
David DeHaas (6:21): Well, we go out and we get in the sun. If I can pop home in the middle of the day, I will go and lay in the sun for me away from fifteen to thirty minutes. If I can't get away, I go out behind the office and I got a little chair I'll put out there. I'll lift up my shirt, take off my glasses, and I'll stare into the sun with my eyes closed, of course, for as long as I could. What I do notice when I do that is it's like an energy jolt.
David DeHaas (6:45): It's better than having a cup of coffee to get you going, and you should do it. And if you're eating healthy, you're not gonna sunburn. Recently, I was told when my mom was staying that, David, bring a big hat, some sunglasses, and sunscreen. We take them out in the sun, let them walk a little bit. I said, no.
David DeHaas (7:00): I want you to get my mom's shirt off. I want to to have her glasses off. I want her to close her eyes and stare into the sun, and I want as much of her body as exposed as possible. What? We don't recommend that.
David DeHaas (7:14): Well, of course, you don't. You've been lied to your whole life. Why would you? But that's what I want my mom to do so she can get free vitamin d. Well, vitamin d, healthy fish, is also a good source of b twelve, an essential nutrient human beings can't live without.
David DeHaas (7:32): That's because we can't produce vitamin b twelve the way we do vitamin d. Therefore, healthy diets must contain plenty of it. Vitamin B12 is necessary for a host of body functions. It's essential for red blood cell creation, nerve health, DNA synthesis, and energy production. It's especially crucial during pregnancy because it facilitates development of neurological tissues in the fetus.
David DeHaas (7:54): B12 also helps maintain optimal homocysteine levels, which when elevated increase the risk of cardiovascular disease. Vitamin B12 is the largest vitamin. As people get older, their ability to absorb all nutrients declines, but the decline is pronounced for vitamin B12, in part due to its large size. After age 35, B12 absorption ability falls dramatically. Bioavailable dietary vitamin b twelve is found only in animal food sources.
David DeHaas (8:26): Not surprisingly, vegans and vegetarians are prone to b twelve deficiency due to a lack of absorbable vitamin b twelve in their diet. Fish is a healthy source of b twelve. You can actually do injections of vitamin b twelve, and that can rectify the deficiencies quickly. There's no worry about the ability to absorb the vitamin with injections. As with vitamin d, make a little self proclaimed announcement.
David DeHaas (8:50): Remember the episode two sixty five with doctor Dan Gruber? We talked about a new peptide that replaces the GLP ones that is safe, doesn't wreck your gut, increase muscle mass. I've been on that product now for a month, and I'm down a solid 10 pounds. Farm raised or wild caught. What's the what's the safest?
David DeHaas (9:11): What's the best? What do you think? Well, not all fish is healthy. Some contains toxic metals and other healthy unhealthy substances. While eating fish can be beneficial, a healthy fish meal can only come from healthy fish.
David DeHaas (9:24): So wild fish are harvested from their natural environments, lakes, rivers, and oceans. Farm raised fish are grown in containment and fed artificial diets designed to make them as large as possible. It doesn't take a medical degree to guess which fish would be healthier. Wild caught is always a better choice than farm raised fish. Compared to wild fish, farm raised fish contain more fat, more omega sixes, and farm raised fish are exposed to antibiotics, pesticides, and insecticides, and they're grown in pens.
David DeHaas (9:55): Ever been down to Beale, Idaho and looked at the at the went on the fish farms? There's tons of fish in a very small environment. Because they're grown in unnatural environment, the fish are given pharmaceuticals to come back infections that are common in close quarters. But farm raised fish is less expensive than wild caught fish. Like other food sources, conventional production is cheaper than organic production.
David DeHaas (10:18): Just as it's healthier to eat organic plant foods and wild caught fish are healthier than farm raised fish. You can when you go into the store, especially, I go to, you know, Costco and look at the fish, you can tell a huge difference in the coloring. And then if you learn to muscle test the muscle test, your body will reject it. Now what else we got a problem with with farm raised fish? Well, mercury toxicity is more common than you think.
David DeHaas (10:44): So what is mercury? Well, mercury is probably one of the worst heavy metals you can get in your body. It degenerates brain neuron tissue. It's what led to Alzheimer's because our dentistry has been using it for years. I've done four radio shows, episodes 97, 99, and one eighty eight and one eighty nine with a great doctor Kennedy and doctor Michelle about mercury.
David DeHaas (11:03): You wanna avoid mercury at all costs, but it's in a zillion things, including our fish. Now, thankfully, mercury was just banned, by RFK for all vaccine. But what about fish? Well, the highest levels of mercury are the marlin, orange ruffy, shark, swordfish, tilefish, white tuna. Why do the filed fish have so much mercury?
David DeHaas (11:29): Well, years ago, mining, a lot of mining done in Idaho, they dumped a lot of mercury when they were, when they were mining. And so Tony Robbins, one day, he he they had taken some blood from him, and he was very sick, and they couldn't figure out why. Well, they showed up some people showed up to the house to investigate. He they thought he was being poisoned by his wife. But what Tony was doing was eating tons of tuna out of cans.
David DeHaas (11:57): And whether wild caught or not, he was getting so much mercury, it was causing his probably causing him problems. Now in episode one eighty eight with doctor David Ken, we talked very about a special nutrient product that will help pull mercury out. It's not cheap, but it's very effective. Now other things you can do is other chelators to help get mercury out. The half life of mercury, though, is twenty seven years.
David DeHaas (12:22): So even if you have had your, you know, mercury teeth taken out five years ago, two years ago, ten years ago, twenty years ago, you still have mercury in your tissues, and it's probably part of your disease in the body. Now if you're pregnant, definitely stay away from those types of fish. Now fish you can't eat that are good are anchovies, black sea bass, catfish, clams, cod, lobster, salmon, shrimp, and canned light tuna, but be careful with that as well. So what can you do? Well, one of things you can be doing is taking three hundred milligrams of alpha lipoic acid just before eating a meal containing fish.
David DeHaas (12:59): This limits mercury toxicity. So fish are great if they're wild caught and not farm raised. Eating fish with low levels of mercury toxicity can be a part of a great diet. So you can get these levels checked if you want to in your body. You see a doctor to do that.
David DeHaas (13:19): But listening to the whole body detox show, I'm David DeHaas in Living Waters where miracles begin by healing from within. (208) 378-9911. Stay tuned. We'll be right back. Nothing is more exciting than seeing a client shed their diseases and symptoms caused from accumulated toxins from the chemicals in our foods, the clothes we wear and the air we breathe, and by cleansing through colon hydrotherapy and treating the whole body naturally.
David DeHaas (13:41): Here's what a few clients had to say about their experience at Living Waters Wellness Center.
Richard (13:45): My name is Richard. I came to Living Waters because I was low on energy and for my memory, and I've accomplished both. Living Waters did it for me. Thank you, Living Waters.
Beata (13:54): My name is Beata. I came to Living Waters Wellness because also I have problem with carpal tunnels. And now I move my hands. It doesn't hurt. I don't feel tension.
Beata (14:05): So thank you.
Bianca (14:06): I came into Living Waters because I've suffered with allergies and asthma my whole life. I was recently diagnosed with EOE, which is where your food gets stuck in your esophagus from high eosinophils in my blood. Since I've been here, I have more energy. I have no hardly any mucus, and I can think more clearly. I feel better.
Bianca (14:28): My skin feels better. Thank you, Living Waters.
Unnamed Client (14:30): I came to Living Waters because I've had a persistent rash on my face for two years. I also have migraines that go along with my menses. I have brain fog, lack of focus, and motivation, and I'm on medicine for thyroid and my pituitary gland. Since coming to Living Waters, I no longer have my rash. I do not have any sugar cravings, and I have lots of motivation and focus.
Unnamed Client (14:52): Thank you, Living Waters.
David DeHaas (14:54): To learn more about the ten day healing retreat, go to livingwaterscleanse.com. Click on the link for natural laws of healing and watch the video and check out this hundreds of clients who heal from their symptoms under the success stories tab or call the office at (208) 378-9911. That's (208) 378-9911. The preceding examples may not be typical of your experience, may not be right for you. Talk to a healthcare professional to see if cleansing is right for you.
David DeHaas (15:15): Welcome back to the show. We're talking about fish. Is it good for you or is it not good for you? Well, it can be an excellent source of iodine. Saltwater species and shellfish have particularly high levels of iodine, and I encourage everyone, to supplement with iodine because I've I would say ninety percent of people that come through our 10 healing retreat, we test for iodine, they're deficient.
David DeHaas (15:38): Iodine is an essential nutrient necessary for the health of glands that produce hormones. These glands include the breasts, the ovaries, the pancreas, the prostate, thyroid, uterus. It's recommended to maintain the normal architecture of these glands when it is deficient. Abnormal growths occur in glandular tissue. We did a whole episode on iodine way back in episode 66.
David DeHaas (16:00): We mentioned it again in two nineteen. In episode two zero seven, we're talking about 15 tools and supplements to boost your immune system. Doctor. Brownstein says that he's been researching and writing this on this subject for years and thinks it's probably the largest reason there's so much glandular cancer in our society. For instance, one in seven US women will develop breast cancer in their life.
David DeHaas (16:25): One in three men will get prostate cancer. We're also seeing epidemics of pancreatic, ovarian, uterine, and thyroid cancers. All these conditions could be caused by iodine deficiency. Iodine deficiency affects the vast majority of Americans. And in that episode 66, I talk about the old medicine man.
David DeHaas (16:44): And what you would do is you go see the seaweed man because what's in seaweed? Iodine. And they'd always prescribe seaweed, and, it worked well. If you like to read, he's got a book called iodine, why you need it, why you can't live without it. How about selenium?
David DeHaas (17:00): The trace mineral selenium is also found in fish. It's vital for thyroid function. It has valuable antioxidant effects. It's important for immune, cardiovascular, and reproductive health and can help ease central nervous system conditions such as Parkinson's, Alzheimer's, and multiple sclerosis. Selenium is also found in Brazilian nuts and lean meat as well as pasta, rice, eggs, oatmeal, and baked beans.
David DeHaas (17:27): What about iron? Well, fish supplies a bioavailable form of iron, which is needed by the red blood cells to carry oxygen throughout the body. Only animal sources of iron are readily bioavailable for absorption. Iron from vegetable sources such as spinach is not absorbed as well. Choline.
David DeHaas (17:46): Now choline is an essential nutrient that benefits the liver, the brain, muscles, and is necessary for DNA synthesis. Fat transport, metabolism, and cell messaging. Every cell membrane in the body contains choline. Unfortunately, choline levels can't be checked, but because it's such an important nutrient, he writes, I use a lot of it in the form of phosphatidylcholine both orally and intravenously in his practice. And fatty acids.
David DeHaas (18:15): Best known as a source of essential fatty acids, the term essential means that human body can't produce the nutrient. Therefore, people must get it from their diet or a supplement. The two primary essential fatty acids are omega three fats and omega six. Now pay attention to this. Both of which consist of long chains of carbon atoms.
David DeHaas (18:34): Fish contain both omega three and omega six but have more omega threes. Omega sixes are primarily found in seed oils. And what have you been eating the most of? Seed oils and causes inflammation. It takes over two years to detox from it.
David DeHaas (18:50): Wild fish generally have an omega three to omega six ratio greater than five to one. On the other hand, the standard American diet, which relies heavily on seed oils, has an omega six to omega three ratio of more than 20 to one, way too many omega sixes to omega threes. Consuming too many omega six fats can cause oxidative stress and is thought to be associated with a host of common health problems, including heart disease, diabetes, obesity, and hypertension. People should aim for omega three to omega six dietary ratio between one to two and one to four. In general, people need more omega three fatty acids and less toxic seed oils.
David DeHaas (19:33): Yeah. Because the seed oils are causing such amount of inflammation. It's just ridiculous. And, you know, our ancestors weren't eating a bunch of seed oils. Where were they getting their oils?
David DeHaas (19:41): They were getting it out of the cow. They're getting it from tallow. They're getting it from the fish. They weren't getting this manufactured stuff in a bottle that you get down to grocery store. That wasn't the way it worked.
David DeHaas (19:52): Now where should you get your fish? Pay attention here. You're gonna be surprised about this. That's a lot of surface area. If you've got allergies, that means you've got a thing called leaky gut.
David DeHaas (20:03): And what's happened is the villi in the gut, what I refer to as a shag carpet, the little little tears happen in the gut, And now food particles drop in that shouldn't be there, and your white blood cells who are there to protect you ramp up and go crazy thinking, oh my gosh. We got an invader. We got an invader. Well, you do. And so now you've got some kind of a reaction.
David DeHaas (20:22): Maybe you get a reaction to certain foods or certain pollens in the environment, but it all comes back to the gut. The good news is you get brand new cells every five to ten days. So what do we do? We start with cleaning the colon, clean the small intestine, and then what we do at Living Waters, it's very special, very special process we only do on our ten day retreat, is we do a deep cleanse so that we can now clean up the blood, and now you give it the perfect nutrition. What's perfect nutrition?
David DeHaas (20:50): Well, that's organic foods. That's vitamins and minerals. Everyone should be taking a high quality multi mineral vitamin supplement. The ones I've been using down here, I've been using for thirty three years because they work so well. And I healed the torn meniscus on these vitamins.
David DeHaas (21:07): Torn meniscus, David. How'd you do that? Well, your body has an amazing ability to heal from within if you give it a chance, but you can't do it with dirty toxic blood because your colon is toxic first. So hydrating from the bottom up, you can dissolve the old stuff that's in the trunk. It's gonna flush out, and it takes ten days to get around the whole colon.
David DeHaas (21:31): People always ask me, well, Mia, I'll just try one or I'll try three. And it's like, you know, I'm gonna go to the car wash. I'm gonna watch just the front left half of my car. I'm not gonna wash the whole car. We're just gonna do a partial, see how it looks.
David DeHaas (21:44): Well, we never do that. Right? Or if you're gonna steam clean the carpets in your house, oh, I'll just do the hallway. I'll let the rest of the stuff sit in the carpet. Right?
David DeHaas (21:51): No. You vacuum the whole carpet. You clean the whole carpet. And so to get colon, really, every day is a new day. And I always suggest, you know, you buy a package of 10.
David DeHaas (22:00): You have a year to use them. But if you can use them very close together, do that. But if you come to our ten day healing retreat, oh my word. So many other things happen in our ten day healing retreat. We take a deep dive into the energy medicine.
David DeHaas (22:13): We we learned we talked last week about medicine less hospitals. We teach that stuff here on our ten day healing retreat. We teach you in fact, one of the shows coming up here, we're gonna teach you how the mind and the heart in sync, can help regulate the body's immune function. We talked about this with doctor Deborah Rosman back in episode one sixty three, if you wanna check that out. But your body has a lot of power.
David DeHaas (22:41): You know, I truly believe, you know, if you believe in the if you're a Christian at all, you believe in the Bible, you believe in Jesus, you know, God is within, and he didn't make junk. And he gives you the ability to heal. You just gotta you need a little help. You need a little coaching. And that's what we do so well at Living Waters.
David DeHaas (22:56): We tie the physical with the mental, the emotional, and the spiritual. And what you get out of that is your health miracle. And it's an amazing thing to watch. And over on our website at livingwaterscleanse.com, there's probably 400 plus videos of people who came from all over The United States, and they've tried everything like y'all have. And they spent a lot of money like y'all have, like I did.
David DeHaas (23:24): And they did the ten day, and they got their health back, which is an amazing thing to watch. And I love watching it happen. So everyone calls in. They always say, well, David, what about this? We'll heal that.
David DeHaas (23:38): What about my prostate cancer? What about my my, my right hip? My hips are sore. And my joints I got osteoarthritis. I've got rheumatoid arthritis.
David DeHaas (23:48): Look at it. It doesn't matter the disease. Like doctor Bernard Jensen said, here's a guy who pioneered colonial therapy, treated 350,000 people a day, hit a 160 people a day on his ranch doing colonics. The great doctor Gerson would come to his facility, and he said, you've gotta heal the gut first before any effectual healing can take place. Nothing is more exciting than seeing a client shed their diseases and symptoms caused from accumulated toxins from the chemicals in our foods, the clothes we wear and the air we breathe, and by cleansing through colon hydrotherapy and treating the whole body naturally.
David DeHaas (24:25): Here's what a few clients had to say about their experience at Living Waters Wellness Center.

Bianca (24:50): I came into Living Waters because I've suffered with allergies and asthma my whole life. David DeHaas (26:00): Welcome back. David DeHaas from Living Waters Wellness Center where miracles begin by healing from within. If you've never tuned in to us, we're Idaho's largest colon hydrotherapy center, and we've been doing ten day healing retreats now for nearly twenty years. Long time. And we've been helping a lot of people get their health miracles.
David DeHaas (26:18): And one of the commonalities that I see among those that are that have inflammation and have their dishyphen ease, no matter what the label you've been giving, you're inflamed first. And how'd you get an inflammation? You got it because of toxicity. And most of you have been constipated either your whole life or part of your life or a little bit of your life. So if you're eating, not going to the bathroom, what's happening to that old stool that is sitting in the colon?
David DeHaas (26:44): Well, it's sitting in there and it's putrefying. It's rotting. And what's gonna happen, eventually, you're gonna have concrete poop. And that muscle is about two and a half inches in diameter, the eighth inch wall. Get this, and expand to as big as 16 inches in diameter, and you can pack a lot of poop.
David DeHaas (27:02): Furthermore, because of stress, and this is why you get constipated, is usually stress and a poor diet. But stress is the big reason because we store our stuff in our gut. You can get twists and kinks. You'll see all this illuminated on the video I've done over on the website livingwaterscleanse.com. You wanna watch that video, the four natural laws of healing.
David DeHaas (27:21): I go into great detail on how you heal naturally from within. We gotta start with the gut. So to get rid of that stuff, you gotta use water. And I just don't mean drinking a lot of water because by the time you start drinking a lot of water, you know, you've got so much old fecal matter in there. In fact, the average person's packing 10 to 15 pounds of just old mass in that in the gut.
David DeHaas (27:41): And what's making it worse is now you're pushing that poops getting into the tissue, gets into the blood, gets into the lymphatic system, and basically, you've got a poopy mess all over your body. If you've got body odor, well, you've had constipation or have constipation because that lymph nodes have got the poopy, lymphatic fluid and you're that's what you're smelling. Got bad breath? You're definitely full of poop. So for those of you who are fighting that, you think that taking some mouthwash is good?
David DeHaas (28:10): No. You're destroying your microbiome in your in your mouth when you take any kind of a mouthwash. I shouldn't say any kind. There's some good stuff. There are better ones out in the market today, but most of them have been absolute.
David DeHaas (28:23): Just a bunch of alcohol. Just trashes the microbiome of your of your mouth, which you don't want to do. So to reverse all that, we got to begin with colon hydrotherapy. It's a very easy, gentle process in the privacy of your own room. And there's a video on the website, livingwaterscleanse.com.
David DeHaas (28:40): Click on treatments, and you'll see a little twelve minute video on how a colonic is done. Very simple, very easy, very private. And, and, you know, your dignity is maintained. It's very easy to do. Once you do one, you know, it's a piece of cake.
David DeHaas (28:53): It's like riding a bike. So, anyway, that's what you wanna do to get rid of this toxic mass. Now when you start getting rid of the toxic mass, the inflammation, if you have like, I have a lot of people right now, they've got allergies and sinus problems. And so in fact, have a few people this last week had lung issues, and they thought it was kind of weird that I would suggest you gotta get your colon healed first. But look at your largest pathway in your body to get rid of toxins is the small and large intestine, about 30 to 35 feet of intestinal tract, the surface area the size of a tennis court.
David DeHaas (29:24): We've been talking about fish today. We've been talking about colon hydrotherapy as a means to get your nutrition absorbed in your body. We talk a little bit about vitamin D. And this is interesting. There's a report issued out of molecular oncology.
David DeHaas (29:39): German researchers analyzed three randomized controlled trials that estimated the effects of vitamin D supplementation on cancer mortality. The study estimated that vitamin D supplementation would reduce cancer mortality by thirteen percent, preventing almost thirty thousand cancer deaths per year at approximate savings of $297,000,000. The authors concluded, quote, our results support promotion of supplementation of vitamin D among older adults as a cost saving mechanism approach to substantially reduce cancer mortality. And, of course, as anyone knows, I've had I've had cancer. I healed it naturally.
David DeHaas (30:19): You've heard my stories about my dad, my father-in-law, and other people here that came through the facility. And, you know, it's very expensive, and it's very you know, if you go through a traditional way to heal that, it's not fun. I've had clients who have done it and then came through here and cleansed to get rid of the toxicity after doing it. Now if that's the choice you need to do, then and I'm not gonna tell you not to do it. I'm just saying, look.
David DeHaas (30:41): Why don't we take some prevention here? Do some colonics. Take some vitamin d three. Get out in the sun. But, David, won't the sun cause cancer?
David DeHaas (30:49): No. Eat the right foods. Don't eat the seed oils, and you will not sunburn. Now if I'm on the water, I'm gonna put some sunscreen on. But for just going out for half hour to an hour, I'm not.
David DeHaas (31:00): I've never sunburned. And I've been sunbathing the sun for probably twenty years now, and I love it. Now January 2026 article in the Journal of American Medical Association, the JAMA, reported over the last fifty years, mortality has increased has decreased for every leading type of cancer in people younger than 50 years in The US except for one, colorectal cancer. Now it's the leading cause of cancer death in that age group. And how can you prevent that?
David DeHaas (31:31): Let's do some colonics. Let's increase the fiber in our diet. Let's not eat the seed oils, and let's not eat glyphosate, astrazine, paraquat, the pesticide laden foods. Let's eat organic foods. Now it says here, there are many theories about why the rate has increased, but look at there's so many processed foods today, and that stuff just sitting slowly churning through the gut, and most of you aren't pooping properly.
David DeHaas (31:56): And, also, we're eating more processed meats, and that may be the real big another big added factor is is the processed meats, which can be laden, with glutamate. And, of course, we're not eating the fruits and vegetables like we used to, and there's, of exposure, as I mentioned, to all the herbicides and pesticides. And, of course, right now, we'll see what happens on the twenty seventh. Will the Supreme Court give bear, the evil bear Monsanto, complete immunity from liability? I hope not.
David DeHaas (32:28): So listen, my friends. You gotta eat organic food. That's just it. Now what about dementia? Well, obesity is linked to dementia, we have quite a, you know, a lot of lot of information coming out on how to prevent, dementia.
David DeHaas (32:44): But body mass index is another big factor in dementia, and that's where the new GLP three, the new peptide that I discovered on the show two episode two sixty five. And I've been using it, as I mentioned earlier, and I'm down, a solid 10 pounds over the last it was a bit three or four weeks. And I don't have the munchies at night. I don't have the wanna crave and eat food deep into the evening like I used to. It's amazing.
David DeHaas (33:14): I'm my my food noise has went to nearly zero. But, anyway, body mass index, of course. And look at it's easy to change. It just takes some very simple habits every day. I'm a tell you some some simple exercises, and you can find some a bunch of these on Facebook and Instagram and so forth.
David DeHaas (33:31): Just simple things you can do even at work. Swinging your arms, getting up out of your chair without using your hands. Get up, sit down, do that 10 times. Take your arms without dumbbells and raise them to the side. Raise them straight up in the air.
David DeHaas (33:45): Swing them. Balancing. Balancing is a good one you can do just for a great exercise. Can you get up? Can you put your pants on without sitting down?
David DeHaas (33:55): Can you balance on one foot and put your pants on? Can you balance and put your sock on? How can you balance and put a shoe on without touching something? It's not easy to do, but if you practice it, you can get better at it, and it's very good for the brain and your muscles. So there's a bunch of those little exercises that you should be looking into doing.
David DeHaas (34:13): Another thing you can do is you're walking. Walking is one of the best mechanisms. And when you're walking, do work do different puzzles. Like, what I like to do is say the alphabet backwards. I'll walk fast for about two or three minutes, and I'll I'll do the alphabet backwards, or I'll do other computations in my brain.
David DeHaas (34:32): So doing two things at once while you're walking is very, very good for the brain. One of the things we have at Living Waters is a vibration plate called the t zone, and we've used that over the years. That also is oscillating back and forth, and that's actually improving brain health because your body is trying to compensate very quickly. And so that's a very good way for you to help increase your brain power as well. Supplements.
David DeHaas (34:58): But you gotta be doing a good base supplement. And don't take the cheap stuff that you find in the big box stores and at the traditional pharmacy stores. Those things are so cheap, so inexpensive. They don't even break apart in your gut. Look.
David DeHaas (35:14): You need to spend a few bucks. You need to spend at least 4 to $6 a day to get a super high quality nutritional supplement that gets absorbed into the body and get you all spectrums. Now I have another supplement down here. Very, very good quality. It's about $40.
David DeHaas (35:32): So about a buck, what, a buck 20 a day. It's not bad, but it's not as robust, but it's better than nothing. And look at we're not getting the nutrition that we need out of our soils anymore. We've overworked our soils. We've sprayed too many things.
David DeHaas (35:48): We don't even have a good micro microbiome system in our soils anymore unless you're buying organic. And some of those guys, as we talked about it a few weeks ago, they've figured it out how to get the microbiome in the soil and maintain it. But, again, it's few and far between, and it's gonna be a while before the entire country gets back to traditional real farming where we're, you know, we're producing good quality food. We're just not producing good quality food now, and our $5,000,000,000,000 sick care costs have proven that point very well. One of the vitamin I wanna suggest here that you wanna take definitely is vitamin k.
David DeHaas (36:29): K two and d three together are very, very helpful for the body. And as we mentioned earlier, it's very good for the calcium being absorbed out of the gut. But look at it. If your gut's not healthy, neither are you, and you need to take that into account as soon as you can. And if you wanna learn how to use our new weight loss product, it's no shots, just drops.
David DeHaas (36:54): Cuts out the food noise, doesn't destroy your gut, doesn't decrease your muscles, actually helps you maintain it. Call us at (208) 378-9911. You can try a colonic. Simple and easy to do. We have a great staff.
David DeHaas (37:06): They'll take wonderful care of you. I'm David Dahas from Living Waters Wellness Center where miracles begin by healing from within. Until next week, have a blessed week, my friends.
